โ Day - Build homes and shops. Shops earn coins while open. Residents live, work... and age. Everyone dies in about a week. That's fine. That's the game.
๐ Evening (6pm) - Prepare for curfew: close shops, lock houses, light lanterns. The watchman works through "lock all" orders slowly - a big town can't lock down in time without help.
๐ Midnight - Your dead rise from the graveyard. Ghosts drift slowly until they spot an open shop, an unlocked occupied house, or someone outdoors - then they swoosh. A ghost in a house scares the family to death.
๐ฎ Lanterns - Protect a radius, burn Afterglow. Here's the twist: lanterns feed on nearby ghosts - they get stronger and refund Afterglow when ghosts drift close. Keep your enemies close.
โ The Balance - The living must outnumber the dead. Graves drip Afterglow (you need some dead!), but if the dead outnumber the living at two dawns running: TOWN CONDEMNED.
๐ The Train - Build a station, connect to a friend, visit their town and send them resources when the night is winning.
